My wife akded the other day if I had a container she could use that didn't have a fishy smell and didn't have holes cut or drilled in it.

This is a great thread, just though I would throw out some of my latest ghetto work.

First we have my new vho lighting setup. I recently traded/sold my hamilton hood due to heat issues and set up this retrofit kit the easy way. In one picture you can also see my Ro/Di topoff system coming through the window. Along with a few spider webs, probaly due to the cracked open window.

And here you have my modified via aqua chiller. I got rid of that nasty plastic case around it, and bypassed the built in temp controler in order to hook it up to my controller, I'm waiting on some 5/8 black hose to plumb it in.

Toby Thompson, the plastic case over your chiller is there for a reason. It helps direct the airflow over the compressor and some of the pipes for cooling of the equipment. This may or may not decrease the efficiency of your chiller. Just thought you should know.

BIG ol bump to this very funny and confidence boosting thread (for this newbie anyway)! Other folks new to RC may not have seen it yet, worth a look for sure! I get crazy about cord mess, and some of these tanks are Waaaaay crazy jumbled looking! LOL BTW I vote for Lobster!

Alright...I'll share mine...it's been improved on since these pics, but it's nice to see where my tanks came from

Overview during my zoa crash...the towel keeps the police away because of suspicious lights (44W 10K) glowing form my living room windows

That towel kind of looks like when someone is about to get fried in the electric chair.:eek2:

ive recently made a few unsightly modifications to the tank. the highest tank on the right isnt part of it though, thats just a red eft newt....

it sure is an eyesore right in the middle of my living room like this!
