Tierra del Fuego coral

I was reviewing UCs description of their SSC because of a discussion from another thread when I came across this coral from their website. It just happened that when I bought a frag of SSC from them, I bought a pink encrusted milli on an ugly square plug just to get a free shipping. Anyway, this frag turned out to be that of Tierra. My frag has grown and looks exactly. I notice that the green is related to the shaded areas and the pinks are the areas that receive lighting. Anyone has this piece?

Can you post a picture of your Tierra de Fuego? I saw it on their website also. Pretty pricey but nice. Im curious to see how they look in people's tanks.

Here's a quick pic.

It was receding at the base when I switched to IO from RC. Seems to have stopped.

Since February, I think. It was all pink and just an inch stalk in the middle but the plug was totally encrusted. it developed the greens later on. Got it for $50.

There were 2 of them at that time when I bought mine. If you look closely at UCs pic, the plug is also square in theirs. Seems like no one bought it and it grew in their tank and now they are calling it TDF. Never knew the name before.

Yeah also looks like a Red Planet to me but I really cant tell the difference between them anyhow. Anyone care to explain?

just looked at the picture on UC's site. 1/2" for $150, lol.

portions of the coral that get alot of light are just red, lower areas get green.. just like a red planet.. hilarious

Definitely not RP. It looked like pink milli back in Feb. When I got it. I will look for an old pic. I also have a RP, so I was not looking to buy another one.

From my understanding the first Tierra De Fuego acro came from wetthumbfrags.

or the world wide corals version.

notice that they both have a little blue.

Mine is still a 1/2" frag...

note wet thumbs pic with the nice red thumbs lol, they are horrible and obviously alter the pic.WWC's pic looks much more real.when wet thumb first posted the pic i couldnt help myself from saying on their thread"its so red even your fingers turned red".it is a nice piece but to me looks alot like the ATL maribalis, red planet, and the copps table and not worth $150 for a 1/2" piece.i suppose to each their own.

Not a red planet. Those nice pics above are extremely photoshopped. The coral is eye-catching just liked SSC and RP.
