This is definitly not the real color. This coral either has MASSIVE pure actinics over it or the picture has been tampered with

The coral in question is a Red Planet. When he first got it it was a pink Mille he thought. Red Planets look like a pink Millie when they have had too much light. Now that the coral in question had colored back up, you can obviously see that it is a red planet

I was in the WWC store last week. Their corals actually do look that good. But they are under heavy heavy actinic lighting. I talked to one of the owners and he said they value color more than growth, and run their tanks accordingly. Also they feed the coral 3x a day. They really do look great, but yes, lots of actinics going on.

Aqua80, that looks like TDF to me, did it come with a square plug?. Give it more actinic so the pink polyps get nicer.

it is a frag made by one of my LFS, so round ceramic plug...
it is under a PM 8x24w 5 blue+, 1 fiji purple, 1 aquablue special, and 1 kz coral light...

The last 2 pics were under LEDs (50% royal blue and 50% white) in use starting around Dec. 25th, you can see the improved coloration and beginning growth on some tips.

Yes when I saw that picture you posted It looked exactly like mine !
colors improving and a lot of growth on mine too since I got it at the end of december...

i really like the colouration of aquas coral...the blue tips look awesome...however could just be my monitor...but the colours look amazing...whispers coral looks very red and green with pink, but i see no blue...aquas on the other hand shows all four colours...

maybe it is because of poor white balance and blue plus tube above it, but the growth tips are more white than blue in my eyes...
