Tigahboy's 35g

Bad news, guys! I'm having a hard time keeping my acans happy where they are. I think they are getting too much direct flow. Already lost an acan recently and a couple others look really ****ed at the moment. I moved them to my sump where they can get some relief from the flow and lights for the time being.

Everything else looks fine tho. Sucks. Hopefully those 2 acans pull thru. I need to rethink what to do with my acan garden. I don't really have a lot of options in terms of moving them to other locations.

Oh, and the favia/war coral that got stung to hell by the acan.... that guy didn't make it. R.I.P. favia.

Hey Tigah, what kind of maintenance, feeding, water changes etc. do you perform?
Do you grow cheato in a refugium?
Are you using any of the probidio products?
Any other additives going into the tank? Your colors look amazing.

Do you think the mp40 is overkill for the tank?

I do weekly water 10% water changes. I feed every other day with PE Mysis and cyclopeeze. My dendros get fed everyday tho (pellet food for the days I do not feed the rest of my tank). I also feed oyster feast every other day (sometimes daily depending on my mood).

I have a ton of chaeto in my fuge.

In terms of additives, I don't use any yet. When I start adding more SPS, I will need to start adding stuff and I have bulk reef supply 2 part ready to go when I do.

Yes, the MP40 is a little more than I need. If this were SPS dominated, it would be perfect tho... but my tank is mostly softies and LPS. And as I mentioned previously, my acans aren't so happy with all the crazy flow.

your pictures are so nice..great job on them..still using the cannon 1100 ...what mode do you shoot in? do you have to do any editing?

Thanks! I lost my 1100 awhile back and have been using a canon sd780is.

My camera is usually on macro mode, custom white balance, vivid color, usually a low ISO (but sometimes automatic). The rest is default settings. And I use a tripod. In terms of photo editing, I use sharpen and contrast functions if the photos don't turn out well.

I just went through your whole thread and all I gotta say is that you have a beautiful tank!! I like the way you aqua-scaped and totally dig your very colorful mini nems!!I've never seen one like it! Awesome coral selections too! :) Very cool!!

I agreed with Kat. Very beautiful tank. I love the mini nems as well.
