Tilapia can be found in most any canal in broward. The big blue ones were easy to spot a month ago as they were sitting in their nests near the edge of canals. May still be??
The smaller striped tilapia are just as prevalent just a little harder to spot.
I have caught both types on nightcrawlers, the striped seem more willing to eat them, the blues seem to only eat it if it annoys them and their nest to much. I read online that they like peas and corn but had no luck with that.
