Tilefish had red spots

My tilefish had red spots. Looks like blood. Is it? Or is it a disease. I think he scraped himself on this rock he always hides in. He eats well and looks fine except red marks. Just a background on him. He is very shy and likes to lay down. Been like that since i got him.... Two years ago. He just recently acquired this ailment.

Yea that looks like it got cut by something, I haven't seen an illness that looks like that but then again I'm sure there are alot of illnesses I haven't seen

Was anything recently added to the aquarium?

Nothing recently added. I have a bristle tooth tang. Now that u mention it looks like cuts. Idk what it could be

He likes to hang out is this rock. I wonder if there's something sharp
