Gary M mentioned in the 2/2012 TOTM write up. Nothing big, but I think some people take The G for granted. He's been around a long time. He's a heck of a nice guy in person.

"I fell in love with Wrasses and Angels 4 years ago and they have multiplied to quite a nice collection. When I first started collecting wrasses, I learned fast that I needed to find some sort of cover to keep the wrasses from jumping out of the tank. So I used an idea that Gary Majchrzak came up with that has become famous, clear mesh netting with window screen framing."

I dont know if you guys know this, but it's guys like Gary that used to drive 8-10 hours to Detroit to get viable SPS frags. Guys like us are reaping the benefits and can now just drive to a buddy's house and get some "common" corals.

Nice work Gary.

You're welcome

Have to check out the article when I get a chance Mark, wifes dragging me out tonight.Kicking & screaming 'of course.

Thats way cool of you to spotlight ,as you would say,"the man".Garys most certainly one of my mentors in the reefing world. I dont know all the backround and histories of many but that is ,rightly said.
Spot on and well deserved Gary.

Gary's one helluva guy! Have yet to meet the big man on campus but let me tell you. Heed his words, he really does know what he is talking about and may come as assertive but he sure as heck wants you to have a substantial, well maintained system on your hands!

I agree! I always read what he writes and pay attention to it! Its nice to have him and the many other people filled with knowledge here, who's brains we can pick when we need to!!

Your-self included cully!!!

thanks folks

thanks folks

Dan- I saw that netting idea on another website and I spread the word on RC. There are certain reefkeeping related ideas and methods that are my own :)

True genius means never revealing your sources and claiming credit when possible. I tried to help you Gary, but you blew it!

I was never on Fishnet but I know folks that were.

I should have noticed that in your avatar,Gary.

Ill never make tank of the month, but "if" by one in a quadtrillion chance everybodys elses tank crashed ,yeah, and I won by default
My therapist and I have pretty much covered the odds on this.

Ok,so, knowing theres a chance at TOTM,Ive already started to prepare my summary.
Heres a tip/slogan that stuck with me after purchasing one of my first sps corals that I was going to include in it somewhere.

"Put caps low and they will grow" -I dont have any pics up of my tank at the moment and currently reorganizing my photobucket album so the ones I had here are broken linked, but in all the shots the caps were placed low based off yours & Cully's statements in a thread 2 years ago re: cap placement.

Jokes a side, thought it was worth a mention.
