u know what i noticed isnt getting any love...sum pajamas! never owned them but they are a cool loookin fish

They seem to be "floating" fish. They don't do a lot of swimming, At least the ones I've seen locally. They just kinda sit there. Not a swimming fish like a clown or a chromis.

maybe a mckoskers flasher wrasse. All of these are pretty sweet nano fish for a larger nano and if moneys no object.

How "large" of a nano are we talking about? I'd like one if possible.

What about the blue/yellow assessor's? Perfect little fish for small tanks :)

I am a big fan of my flame hawkfish and my fourline wrasse (but its kind of a jerk sometimes)...............in addition to my clowns.

Word of Caution - my wrasse has jumped twice. The first time I heard it and immediately put it back in the tank. The second time I discovered it on the floor by some miracle. I thought it was a goner for sure. There were no signs of movement or breathing and it was almost dry to the touch. However, I had heard a wrasses slim coat can protect it out of water so I didn't give up. I put it in a cup full of tank water and gently moved the water to re-hydrate it. After about 30 seconds it twitched and began visibly breathing. Another 30 seconds later it was moving fine, and within minutes it was back in the tank and I think it forgot anything had happened...................I call it my zombie fish, practically came back from the dead.

Fuzzy Dwarf Lions take the cake, they are amazing looking and incredibly personal. Mine would chase me around the tank as I cleaned and always bob his head out of the water for feeding. Unfortunately, Snicklefritts went carpet surfing last week (most likely from the damsels, they were judged by the mantis shrimp who showed no mercy). A LFS here has a 6" one with one eye that i'm thinking about replacing the tank with.

Yep the minimum tank size for that wrasse is 55g on LA. I was curious as to what size he was keeping one in. Also how long he had it.

My favorite is the Blue Spot Jawfish.

Second is the Black and white clowns (I have a pair, that also attacks my hands)

Purple firefish (and Helfrich's) are beautiful.

To round it out, the Frogfish are sweeeet but they're not reef safe

My clowns would eat out of my hand but it I put my arm in the tank without feeding them the little guys would bite me, i need to get them an anemone to host. Its not painfull but they bite alot harder than I ever thought a little clown fish could.

From what iv read and people have told me frogfish are reefsafe just they can eat fish almost as big as themselfs so cant really put it and other fish in a nano.

Well, they are really ambush predators, from the videos I've seen of them here

Hit "Video Clip" on the right hand side.

Since a lot of fish sleep, this little guy is best housed in a simple tank. Owning one for the pure predation he brings. Kind of like a lionfish that doesn't do a whole lot of swimming.

I'm sure a used 14g would be fine for him. Just give him a little LR and sand, and feed live shrimp/small fish to him for food.

They're biting, I think, because your invading their territory. I had a clown that did that, prior to picking up my Picasso's.

He would nip at me whenever I stuck my arm in the water. I think it's the fishes defense, and natural.

one of my LFS has a 500 Black Tip Reef shark tank its absotultley incredible you can probaly find it online the store is captain nemos aquarium in plymouth meeting pa
