Top LFS in URS

im interested in what everyones opinion is on the best Local fish shops for your areas. Rochester//Buffalo//Syracuse i heard has some amazing ones but ive only been to abc reef anyone got more to add?

Each and every one of them that I have visited has their pluses and minuses. It really all depends on your wants needs and desires.

i usually split the difference, goto abcreefs one week , and then ROC the other. i kinda live in the middle. i havent been able to justify the 2plus hours to buffalo, so no info there

Each one has their pluses and minuses. You can't go wrong with visiting any of them.

The ones in WNY do a good job. Now Vegas ones are a disaster. We blow them away.

Upstate NY has the best LFS I've been around. There are several top notch ones.

i prefer cf in rochester but been to arc in buffalo and it was very nice

Our area is in the enviable position of having a solid concentration of truly quality shops, shop owners, and employees. On top of that,our community has quite a few pioneers within it. We are truly spoiled. While the local shops each have more than enough merits I can't put a price on finally having a quality shop run by quality guys, so close to home. Keeps local money local. Gives our local reefkeeping community a hub on which to prosper.

i agree i am in the middle of rochester and buffalo, and i love going to them all!! Each one has its own thing to add to the mix. With beautiful show tanks!!!! Buy a little something from each!

Although I've only been to ABC once:

-ABC: fantastic prices, good people, great knowledge
-Caribbean Forest: Great people, decent prices, great knowledge
-TRS: good people, great knowledge, way overpriced, probably out of stock on what you want.

I used to live close enough to the Boston area to visit several different shops there, and I can tell you every shop in our area is not only cheaper, but much better in several ways. We are spoiled. Sorry Bah-ston

I am completely biased. Based on overall customer satisfaction and personal attention. I will keep my opinion to myself.

Personally, I've been a regular customer at Salt Water Paradise in Tonowanda for over 8 years . I also like ARC in Cheektowaga. I have yet to visit the Rochester shops. I've been to Pacific East ,Dr Mac's in Maryland as I stop there once in a while on my way to the OuterBanks. It's nice but the Buffalo shops are just as nice.
