I have the open brain in a 40 breeder under 14k hammy 400watt. I changed to 20k now the brain shrunk up the skeleton was showing. the same with my fungia. I put them in the sump the same water they blew right up. Is the xms more powerful bulb to make the coral do that. I thought 20ks where less intense.

400w is alot of light in a shallow tank like a 40 breeder. Did you acclimate your corals to the new bulb? For example, reduced photoperiod, raised the bulbs or use a screen of some sort.

I just put one three inch red and one three inch green Trachyphyllia geoffroyi or radiata three inches apartment in the front substrate. They were quite close to each other in the local fish store for a few weeks before I took them home. Is this enough space for their size?
