Im going on 4 mths of my clowns not hosting my anemone, so the last two days I guess my impatience is starting to get to me my Oc clowns dont mind being netted for some reason, they seem to just go right in it so I been netting them the last two days and then taking the net opening over by my BTA where they let the tenticles touch them for several mins and then slowly swim out of the net over the top of the anemone and then thats that, but since I started this yesterday they seem to now on their own get closer to the Anemone. Think this will work?

Some people float a plastic toy shark in the water. Natural instinct is to hide in the safety of the anemone. Now that they know what the stinging is... they may slowly take to it anyway. Remember if they are captive bred they don't know what the anemone is for. The fear of being eatin is an instinct though... that usually triggers a much quicker response; even in Captive Bred fish.

If a captive bred clownfish can't recognise an anemone as a safe haven, why do you think they will recognise a toy shark as a predator? LOL

Just a thought ~~

Chasing them or forcing them into the anemone seems to be the working approach from what I have read multiple times. Of course for my t.r. ones, I basically let them learnt by watching what other clowns do... it works.

I still say patience is the best path. :)

Not that I have any experience or anything...but I just don't know if it's really worth stressing your fish out because you want them to host sooner.

I'll probably change my tune someday when it's me with an empty anemone...lol.
