Treating with Vitamin C

It's the sodium ascorbate?

This is all I could find from the initial article:

"It is important too, to realize that your dKH must be in the 9 to 10 range to minimize the amount of cloudiness that will develop. It the dKH is high (e.g. 12 or more) you will initially have a lot more cloudiness. This will gradually disappear though as you continue the treatment."

No more C for me i uped to a 1000mg a day and lost 3 nice plugs+ of zoas...

Going pack to normal ways no more nutrients for me....

:(

Sorry to hear that. 1000mg is quite minimal. Considering I'm dosing 10x that amount on my 90g, I can't say it was the C that did this to your zoas. What kind of VC were you using? Were you testing pH & alk?

What would doing a Lugals dip do to help? I guess it's possible that the vitamin c caused a problem but highly unlikely since there have been dozens of people dosing exactly as you described with great sucess, myself included.

I stopped as well, the tank got too cloudy and the slime was clogging up all my equipment. And I didn't see any + only a - in my SPS. All my levels are the same before I started and the same when I dosed Vit C. My colors in my SPS went down hill. Everything stayed the same as far as feeding and levels.... So I gave up........

So sorry to hear some are experiencing problems. I initially had an issue with cloudiness but as Pufferpunk previously indicated, it was from a higher dKH. After I was able to get my parmeters more 'stable' there hasn't been another issue with cloudiness. Since I have been dosing, I rarely have to clean the glass on the tank. I'm a believer! At this point, you would have to pry the bottle out of my cold dead hand! LOL I have a new shipment from iHerb coming in today.

Well put! I'll be on my 3rd shipment soon. Next time you order, give them my email addy as a referal & I get a 2% discount. luluwonderdog at yahoo dot com.
