Trip to the Shedd - interested?

Oh, well yeah, the money was sweet....along with the coed crews. :D But it doesn't much endear one to liking corn. I'll tell you, one of the most boring drives I'm familiar with is the trip from down here up to visit my sister in Bloomington taking I-55 straight north. It's nuthin, nuthin, nuthin, Springfield, nuthin, nuthin, nuthin, then finally Bloomington.

LOL...maybe everybody should fly up there.

Yeah, i here ya...when i was stationed at scott air force base I had the nice drive up here for 4+ hours....SUCKED...
Worse drive is driving to south dakota....now THAT was boring...shoot, even my 24 hour drive from chicago to vegas was pretty BOOORING

Yup, I'm driving up to a little town near Rockford this Friday for a wedding. Looking forward to 5 hours of corn scenery along the way.

greg, if i were you guys i would look into seeing if you can stay a little after closing time. when we went it was so jammed with foriegners that somethings were hard to see and some of tourist are incredibly rude. That was the only part of shedd i hated.

Thanks for the info Mike!

Mark has a connection there and maybe we can get some special consideration and avoid that.

what, you don't like the beautifull cornfields??? lol

After last weekend I'm sick of cornfields

At the CIMA party when I saw the sink full of cooked corn on the cobb, I was like "Dang, Where did they get all that huge asz corn ?!"

Then I realized we were surrounded with nothing but and felt kind of slow. It was still an impressive amount of corn.

Well, actually, the corn you saw in the sink is not the same you saw in those fields. So, technically, you're still ok with the question. :D

funny, im in chicago now and just went to Shedd.. check out a few pics.

Ok first off, those of you complaining about the corn fields I say this: YOU BIG BUNCH OF CRY BABIES LOL:) As an X-OTR driver I've pounded every patch of pavement throught this country and I think RICH1972 will agree with me when I say this: It's Nuttin nuttin nuttin nuttin anywhere you go. Rather it's corn field's, Tree's, Rock, Sand dune's, buildings, lakes, rivers, ocean or just the plains of Kansas. It's all the same after awhile, just white lines & pavement.

I like the Idea of a train, but as some one said no car once were there. And I don't like to be late.

ol'saltybastage, Hey man I just thought I'd let you know.....Hey DUDE were planning a trip up to SHEDD'S that is if you wanna go. Man you just have to see this place, come on and join us won't you!!!! :D

Let's keep coming up with Ideas and see if this trip can be made.

Let's try to firm this up a bit as to how many are interested. If you want to be included please state as much and also include the number of others who would go with you.

We need to have an idea as to how many would goto determine if this is even feasible.

If we get enough people who are interested we can start on trying to determine which date will work best for everyone.

I think I would like to go, depending on dates. Would be meself and one other.

I would also like to become a member.
