Trouble with power fail alarms

Haven't updated firmware, as is I am having issues getting notices when I unplug my EB8. Alternative power source works fine and I get a notification if I unplug both(once I restore power), but if I just unplug the EB8 I either don't get a notification or it comes in many hours later.

Any ideas? Programming code is right out of the new user guide.

Make sure you have the supplemental power monitor option enabled. From the display module, go into System - Misc Setup - Power Monitor.
