I have a pair of true percs that have been together for 18 months. A couple weeks ago they spawned for the first time however the male ate the eggs within 2 days. I just noticed another pile of fresh eggs in the same exact spot (base of their toadstool) as the first set. I'd love to try and hatch some baby clowns but I'm concerned that the male will consume these eggs as he did the first group. I'm new at clownfish breeding, what should I do?
