Trying to pair maroons

I have a larger female and smaller male gold band maroon clownfish from ORA. I have them in my quarantine tank, trying to pair them up before adding them to my 400 gallon display tank. The female displays dominance, and the male is being submissive, but they don't stay together or show signs of being paired (like I would see with Ocellaris clown fish). They've been together for about 2 months...

I'm afraid of transferring them to my 8' display tank because I don't wantthem splitting up and settling in opposite ends of the tank.

Does any one have any ideas or suggestions?

My pair took 6 months to finally "bond" They were tolerant of each other but slept in different areas of the tank. The male slowly moved over toward the females sleeping space over time. Once they slept in the same spot they always stayed together and eventually started spawning. I think yours are probably paired meaning it is unlikely she will kill him but still needs some time to bond. If you moved them now they may split up.
