I wan these to grow to their full capacity, where should they be placed in the tank?


Light 50/50 7400daytime/14000 actinic 13 watts

2 gallon aquarium.

Don't have any exact measurements right now but tank is about 8 inches tall, with a 1-2 inch sand bed.
There are also parts in my tank with high flow and low flw.
Where should they be placed for optimal growth?

Mid to HIGh light.. good flow. ( leave them alone to grow ) they grow fast

A lot seems to depend on individual tanks. Like dellsol said, usually medium in the tank. In mine, however, I've had to keep moving them down to get them to open up at all. 2 inches off the sand bed and they not only opened, but started putting out polyps. Experimentation till they seem happy, then as stated, leave them alone and whack anybody that knocks them off their perch.

i have mine under 150mh 6" under the water medium flow. seeing nice growth. about 2 ever week.
