Tucson reef tank

MG: 1390 ALK 8.0 DKH. DOSING 105 ML CALCUIM CARBONATE. 3 NEW FRAGS...TOTAL IS 29 FRAGS TO DATE. PURCHASED NASO BLONDE TANG AND 4 MORE BLUE GREEN CHROMIS. THE NASO'S NOT EATING YET. THE LFS WILL KEEP UNTIL EATING. MEDICATING MY FISH PRIOR TO DELIVERY.

What a great LFS, Fishy Bizness! Mike and Co create friendly, knowledgeable environment. My quarantine will be ready to accept coral in around a month.

Decided to put 5 B/G Chromis in quarantine tank. Installed the 2 wavepoint t5 36" h.o. Light fixture to span front and back of tank. Going on a timer. Start at 10am and go to 7 pm to follow light pattern of AI Hydra 52's.

Dave,

Thank you. I, obviously, have been struggling. I see a lot of your posts. You have a lot of valuable knowledge. Thanks for sharing.

I'm dosing 52 ml ca, alk, and mg daily. Tested to 460 ca, 910 dkh, and 1380 mg. getting sick of dosing. Takes up time. Thus, purchased apex Jr. To dose and for water changes. Also got line 36 X 18 x54 rack to hold water and apex Dosers. Getting next week. Till then, the manual dosing continues, and, testing, of course. Lfs got the chevron and Red Sea sail fin tangs for me..the naso blondes finally eating. Thanks lfs, fishy bixzness. The also sell, at great prices, frags, maricultured pieces and Ora stuff. Call for great pricing.

Is anything in your tank now? Hand dosing is a pain but I still kinda find it ok for now. I dose 250 ml each morning of both Alk and Ca, but bought a pump to dose throughout the day instead.

I have 3 yellow tangs, 1 purple tang, 3 blue green chromis. And, a ton of pods populating the glass.

Red Sea Sailfin, Chevron and Naso Blonde are all eating. Sailfin is a little timid around the food and the Naso is timid in general, although eating well. I'm going to leave the fish at the LFS until I get back next week from Kansas City, MO. Going to my cousin's wedding. The Neptune Apex Jr should be here today. The rack came and is sitting in boxes. The LFS is getting me 5 gal containers and I'm getting magnetic probe holders for level sensors so that I can outfit for water changes. The Apex manual is a monster + all of the additional reading.
