is the avg size about 8"x8"x6" or is it bigger? Does it only aim at an angle upwards?

can the sizes be trimmed down slightly without cracking the whole thing?

You can position the rock on other pieces of live rock to adjust the angle, I don't recommend trying to cut it or trim it, it is hand cast ceramic and tends to be fragile and break.
