Tunze Nano Filter

Will this work as a surface skimmer for a 55 gallon? I have an HOB skimmer and am getting a brown film on top of the water causing an algae problem. Looking for a solution....

Hi Matt,

The Nano Filter will surface skim your tank.

Are you looking at using this in conjunction with the skimmer as well (ie Nano Reefpack), or just doing the filter itself?

It will skim as Jeremy said, I am not sure it is enough for the large surface of a 55, it may require a lot of maintanence to skim enough to really do the job since the filter clogging will restrict the performance.
