Tunze nano mod

I just picked up my (3) 6025's. I put them in unmodded just to check them out before I removed the tunnel inside. All seemed well. I modded them and the flow is amazing.

Two if them spin backwards everytime they start up and do not reverse. The third is perfect everytime.

I did not mod the front of the pump, so I do not need to do the 6045 reverse flow mod. It sounds like the soft reverse flow method doesn't work well.

What should I do? Any thoughts? I have no idea if they did this before the mod because I hacked into them almost immediately.
I have another 6025 on its way from MD. (Auto backorder shipping) I was going to see if putting a non modded cover on would solve this problem. If so........then we need to figure out another way to fix this. I am up for the challenge.

dude i think he is just showing us that he cant tell the difference beetween a video and a picture

fwiw your video is fine.

its a video, like i said, i couldn't care less what he thinks. i just get easily annoyed by people who have nothing better to do than stuff like that

i would do the wide flow mod. i noticed when i did it it reversed itself faster than with the big tube. maybe try it on one to see how it goes?

Floyd,

Any thoughts on how to make a pump reverse itself? 1 works. 2 do not. See above.

Thanks!

place your hand in front of the pump it will switch directions

Your best bet is do the stopper mod, and glue the screen cap on after the stopper is put in.

One more piece of info, from the latest 6025 owners, the new nanos are silent from the start. Roger also indicated his sample 6055 was 100% silent running from the start.

This may be an indication Tunze has finally solved the loose shaft issue. Just in time I'd say, but only time will tell.

Meanwhile I am posting another picture to show my plan for the up coming 6055 just to keep folks all motivated:)

The 6025 has a 1.5" ABS coupler as the nozzle and a 6080 fish screen glued on.

6055???

No, the elusive 6025. I haven't been paying attention to the 6055s. Have they been hiding lately as well? Hehe..Sorry if I get your hopes up.

Thanks for the diagram but I think I still need a picture to know how to actually implement it. From the diagram it appears I have to cut the wire but I know it is not true.

MeasureDCcurrent2.jpg

Unplug the ps from the pump. Plug the banana-to-clip wire from the multimeter to the PS (+ve) lead. Then plug the other banana-to-clip wire to the (+ve) lead of the nanostream. Then use a clip-toclip wire and connect the (-ve) PS lead to the (-ve) lead on the nanostream.

And that's it.

If and when I get my 6055 I'll measure it also.

Now I can picture it, thank you. Can you give me an example of the kind of multimeter I can buy off Amazon and what accessories will I need to complete the test gear? Nothing fancy just something I can get quickly for plug and play.

burton14e7, if you think 6025 is elusive, then what is 6055?:)

I will probably get one next week. The owner of a well-connected dealer agreed to ship me one of his first batch. I did have to promise him not to reveal their info. to anyone, publicly or in private. I have been nagging at him for the last month I think he just wanted to be left alone:)
