Tunze Nano Skimmer

Hi Roger, a friend of mines (who is not a member her on RC) purchased a Tunze Nano skimmer from someone on RC. She said that she noticed that the skimmer wasn’t working so she took it out of the sump and took the pump out. They plugged in the pump into the wall outlet and it did not work.

Could there be anything else that would prevent the pump from running? The information on the pump reads: TUNZE Nano Pump 800.04_A, 120V-60Hz, 8.3 W 013A, Q 53 â€"œ 211 gal/h , Hmax 63 in.

If a replacement pump is needed, could you please let me know what the price is and shipping to 96789 (Hawaii).

Open the pump and remove the impeller, clean everything with 50/50 warm water and vinegar. Often if a pump is allowed to dry the salt and silt inside cements the impeller in place and it cannot start. You can order the pump on tunze.com, shipping should be a flat $5.
