Tumze problems

I have 15 tunze products, water movers to wave makers. I have problems with a few of the water movers. The units reverse themselves. Sometimes to correct the situation I will do one or more of the following with mixed results.

1. Reverse the plug
2. Unplug the unit, and let it rest.
3. Take the propeller out and put it back in.

SOMETIMES one of the above works and sometimes none work. At this point I have three (3) units that are reversed and are not reversing doing any of the above. This has been going on for a year and is getting quite irritating.

I also have 6261 and 7095 components not working. The water movers for the 7095 beeped. I cleaned the units and still not working. I also need a controller and cable for two (2) 6261's. I would like to get some help please. When the units work they work great. I was going through my inventory and rediscovered the units that quit working. Can you help me?

Thank you

I have to assume the powerheads that spin backwards are the non controllable models which should not be used on any wavemaker. This would just be a matter of a new drive unit. I need more info about what model pumps they are and how old they are. Also, where are you located?

The 7095 in all likelihood works, it is the connected pumps that would emit a beep from there driver boxes. If one pump is bad it can cause the unit to stop working. I would try all pumps without the controller to isolate which one(s) are bad.

The 6261 is a wavebox pump, I am assuming you have complete waveboxes? These unitscan be controlled by 6091 or 7096, 6091 you can order on tunze.com, 7096 is available from most dealers and can run controllable pumps as well as waveboxes.

From what I can tell the units are 6125's . I purchased them around june of last year. The 7094 controller is for two (2) stream 6100's. I pluged the units in and the units beeped. I still have one (1) 6100 working with the controller. The wave box is a 6212 with an extension. All units purchased within the last year. The controller connections for the wave box are quite corroded. Both stopped working. What can be done to prevent the corrosion?

Thank you for your help

I would guess the 6125's have broken propellers, please check. So long as they are not being used on a wavemaker this would be under warranty. The 6100's and 7094 are a long shot, they may be repairable but the 7094 hasn't been made since 2006 and very few parts are still available. The 6100 ceased production in mid 2007 and since this spring all major electrical parts are no longer available. In the case of dead 6100's we offer a discounted upgrade to the 6105 when the dead pumps are sent in, provided they cannot be repaired by a small part. The controller needs to be in a less humid environment, if it is only the cables, if you send the controller we can solder new cables in for $19.06 each.

It sounds like the best thing to do is to ship all components to you and you can test and play with them. How does that sound?

6055 problem

6055 problem

Hi
I have had my 6055 for about 2 years and today it just stopped working. I hear a little ticking on the control box but there is no water flow. Also the green light seems very dim, on the box. Is this the normal life span for this pump or can it be repaired. Any help would be great.
Thanks

It can be repaired, have you checked that the pump is clean and not just locked up by calcium or debris, have you tired swapping the power supply from your other pump?
