tunze wavebox in action

I'm slow on the uptake here, Roger. $477 - all included, right?

Is it simple to setup for anyone with an advanced degree in hydrodynamics and electrical engineering, or have you guys got it to where it is plug&play, then just tune it?
 
It is plug and play. You do have to tune the frequency which can take a few minutes to get correct.
 
They should be available at the end of October. I asked last week and they said 1000 bodies were finished and about 200 pumps and controllers. The manual is nearing completion and so is the packaging.
 
I just hope people with older tanks dont test these finding the end panels of glass popping off...Scary thought I know,, but I think its going to happen...Id personally reinforce the ends of a stand and canopy to gain additional support for these..

I hope no one tries it on an old tank either. It is covered in the instructions taht this is a definite risk.
 
I haven't recieved a proof yet, no instructions are available at this time and I wouldn't feel comfortable making a post until the unit is available for sale.
 
Is bracing with metal frames on the top + back, with plastic screws inside (for rust obviously) the way to go to secure against stress?

I'm building an new system and want to secure my tank for this device. Any links or suggestions?
 
I think any new name brand tank like Oceanic or All Glass will be just fine. Some of the best tanks of small manufacturers will be good too. I don't think Acrylic will succomb to fatigue very easily but it will require optional mounting hardware because of the perimeter bracing.
 
Roger i would feel more comfortable because it would help to know what you can and can not do with the wave box and my reef tank.
 
Are numbers of the waveboxes guaranteed for delivery to vendors?

In other words, are all retailers guaranteed a certain #? I'm pre-ordering today.
 
For now it is a secret, and the day the product is available and when a finished manual actually exists I will post a manual. I have answered every question on what it can and cannot do.
