have had these in my tank for a week now,

the tank is a 125 gallon 6' long the pumps face each other on opposite ends of the tank.

I am having a problem with sand blowing all over.

I have turned the pumps all the way down and still canââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t get rid of the sandstorms.

I have the pumps mounted on the brackets that came with them.

The pumps are only a few inches form the water surface, because any lower and I get even more sand blowing.

any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

That is a big set for a 125, not that it can't be done assuming it a 6ft but if it is 4ft you best buy the smaller transformers and downgrade the pumps. You can sell the big ones fairly easily. The pumps really should be just a few inches below the surface, just so long as they aren't sucking in air it is fine. Run tide mode so only one is on at a time and turn the max power to about 50%.

I will try tide mode.
the tank is 6' long so I hope tide mode solves the problem otherwise I will do as you suggest. I just bought these pumps from Marine Depot they are only one week old.

if you know anyone with the smaller pumps and transformers looking to upgrade please mention this to them.

maybe we can work something out.

i have the ts24 kit ( ordered it and it was on my door in 2 days ! ) in a 72" long tank and i have the pumps pulse at 30-60% on tide mode and i have some lps and softies only in the tank and there doing just fine (tank is 72"x24"x20") but i have no sand... just rubble

when I build the fish room there will be no sand in that tank lol but Tide mode does help with the blowing sand I still have some suspended but its not as bad as before.

thanks Roger
