I love watching the older UFCs. In fact, its mandatory in our Level I Combatives Course to show UFC I & II.
 
The Spider Silva is the man to beat right now, but can anyone do it. This man has impressed me more than once with his skills.
 
I'll make the call right now and say GSP takes out BJ by unanimous descision! Like Anderson Silva, GSP is only getting better with each fight. As for MMA, I would love to train to fight, because I too really enjoy the sport for its tactics and strategies. But with a busy wife and almost 2yr old daughter, as well as my out of shape butt, I can only watch and dream.

Silva might be fighting Chuck next. Who do you think wins that?
 
well i do think chuck has gone down hill and silva is a much more techinical fighter, BUT chuck has a very strong chin and ribs. it just depends on which chuck comes out. chuck was part of the reason i started watching again.
 
i really dont think many guys that are good fighters are getting the exposer the deserve, the ultimate fighter show has helped alot though i think
 
alot of guys doin bad, look at mirko cro cop after gabriel gonzaga kick him in the head and dropped him he has been losing and he used to be a feared striker
 
he has lost last couple of fights, i hope he comes back around, he is one awesome fighter, he has legs like a tree trunk, hate to kicked by him.

Its true, there are a lot of really good fighters out there that no one gets to see, for political reasons mostly. As far as the Ultimate Fighter goes, I know a few guys that have been on it and a bunch of guys that have submitted tapes and got turned down. Unfortunately, its really tough anymore for a self promoted fighter to get on that show. Dana gets his picks, Spike gets theirs, and the coaches get at least one a piece. From what I've heard thru several channels, most of the competitors for the show are already decided before they even start looking at tape submissions or hold tryouts.
 
... They put guys on the Ultimate Fighter that are already UFC veterans, and not just in the come back show. :rolleyes:

Neither BJ, GSP, or Chuck will beat the Silva we're witnessing right now.
 
agreed 100 % ok nick lets start training.... i might be able to get down to 175 lol but at 6'8 it would be very unhealthy and i would get my but kicked.... hmmm some weight gain 3000 and il take ole brock lol .... just kidding.it takes endless hours of training , and at 225 and 6'8 all i could hope for is to use reach to my advanage lol
