Ugh, sometimes I'm crazy...

Did you catch the Regal fever? Seems like everyone is coming down with it lately. I saw that little one on DD disappear pretty quickly.

I already have a grey belly in the FOWLR, and a yellow belly for the reef. Don't need any more :)

Angels :fish1:

Are you now in direct competition with the most recently proclaimed "angel king of Southern California"? Much like Highlander, there can only be one! I am looking forward to seeing your new acquisitions.

Oh good grief no  Though any butterfly king better keep a tight grip on his crown :D

I'm lucky... even after all these years, I find some of the most common fish in this hobby the most attractive.

I just read through this thread, and WOW!!!!! More videos please :)

I'm going to have to echo that I don't normally like fowlr tanks, but that is just beautiful. You have an amazing fish selection, and they all look so healthy and happy! Can't wait to see the new angels, love the Asfur! Can't wait to get mine. I'm in the same boat as you right now... Fully stocked qt tanks

I thought there was a pending turf war in the making, I was going to warn some of my friends that live out in San Diego. I also find that there are many common species of fish that are gorgeous that I have been more open to keeping. My wallet and my wife are thankful. Your butterfly collection is next level insane!

Thank you very much! As evidenced by this thread, I do some long and thorough QT's. With these types of fish, I think it's the only way to go to ensure they do in fact end up looking happy and healthy.

conspic, clarion, venustus, colini, bandit, emperor, navarchus, interuptus? :celeb1:

conspic - afraid my tank will be too warm during the summer months
venustus, colini - afraid they'd be too passive to compete
bandit - just not my cup of tea :o
emp - too aggressive
navarchus - already have one :)
interuptus - again, concerned about the temperature thing

scribbled??? C'mon Peter ...

Seriously considered it, but went with something smaller.

So I have a baby changing blueline and a juvi chrysurus angel on their way to me from LADD on Tuesday. The blueline may very well end up in my resurrected reef. I've read that chrysurus angels are mellow for a large pomacanthus species. Time will tell of course.

I have 2 chrysurus angles, I'll tell you my experiences.
The first one I purchased from dd at 1.5 inches, it developed very bad HLLE during copper with in the first week. He grew fast and became a huge pita. Always chasing other fish. He is living in the fuge now until his face maybe clears up, but its been 2 years and is still totally gray.

This past winter I picked up a sub adult which is in my 600, handled copper great and is a modled citizen. Great fish.

If I ever picked up a juvenile again I would not expose to copper.

Well that's going to be a problem, because he will see copper. Hopefully my lower dose method will be OK with him.

Yeah, I know, I know... I think I'm there. Now it's going to be wait and see.... as time progresses, may need to remove some.

Why remove when it creates the excuse for another upgrade? :)

Can't wait to see some pictures of another full QT!
