just started cycling my tank wuth new live rock from TBS. I had a hitchhiker. A black sea cucumber. It seemed fine til i got home tonite. it hasn't move since i left this morning and now it has a white film around it. Is it dieing. Should i remove it before it does. i've heard it can release toxins into the tank.

I'd get rid of it. It seems like it is releasing it's innards. If it's a tiny animal, don't worry too much about it poisoning your entire tank. But I'd do a 25% water change just to be safe.

Normal cuke behavior.....it is not dying.....they do that after shipping....he is just fine and acclimating.

If a cuke dies, you will know it, they turn into a pile of white snot.

Also cukes from the gulf are totally non toxic, unlike cukes from the pacific.
