Unbrella coral

I bought a umbrella coral and my question is can i tie them up together or will it hurt the stalk?
It's like all layed open and it looks like something had it tied at one time I had it in the sand but my goby kept covering it with sand so moved it up on a rock it looked the same in the sand

You posted in the anemone/clownfish forum.

But to answer your question, give it a couple of weeks to acclimate, and then decide what you want to do. They sometimes take a looooong time to get used to your tank, and may even shed the outer layer (looks like skin sloughing off) before bouncing back.

I don't recommend tying them together because then you'll end up with one extremely large coral, unless that's what you're going for. Otherwise, I'd just sell or give away the frags that you don't want.
