Underwater camera help please

I want a good underwater camera for scuba and dont want to spend $3K for a housing, etc for my canon XSi.
Any thooughts?
Sea and Sea DX 1200
SeaLife DC1000

I would likely get it with at least one strobe. Any experience with either of these cameras?
