United Airlines Budweiser and Zoas

[Friday Night]

Taking a trip to the east coast this summer... turns out family members live a stones throw away from a LFS that has gems... Anyone ever bought corals/frags out of state and brought back on a plane with them?

Worth it? pain in the [violation]? feedback plz

I don't think this would work. I wouldn't want to go through the hassle and risk of placing them in checked baggage and you will not be able to carry on due to the 3 oz rule.

You are better off speaking with the LFS and seeing if you can pay for the corals at the store and working out shipping once you return home.

Check with the airline...would hate to see them refuse your corals passage.

I have traveled with Corals on a plane. I put Zoas in a ziplock wrapped in soaked paper towels and simply placed them in the center of my checked luggage. I have done this a few times now and have never had an issue.

+1 thats what i was leaning towards as well... i wanna see these bad boys in person b4 shelling out the money for them as well as shipping costs....:beer:

I have purchased corals on business trips to LA, and have them packed for shipping. The TSA and airlines have never had an issue. I stated to the ticket agent what the contents were, and asked to have the package marked fragile.

I believe many of our overnight parcels travel as checked baggage on airliners.
