Good for you. [emoji2] They are such a beauty. I made the decision to keep mine. He is now in the 400g. If he starts nipping at too many corals then, worse comes to worse, I will take him out. If he only nips at a few, then he can stay.

Woah.. I missed a bit!
Congrats on the second grandkid!
Floods..... enough said..
Ray's a good guy, glad he got you running again.
Any headway in the bryopsis, yet?

I like corals but fish has always been my main attraction to the hobby. A beautiful emperor in a tank is a must for a large system

I have been dosing the vibrant twice a week now for a few weeks. The gha disappeared after two doses and most of the turf algae is gone. The bryopsis has been hanging in there, though growth has reduced significantly. A couple of clusters are fading so I think we are down to the difficult algae. I will try to get some comparison pictures up in the next couple days.

And yes, Ray is a good guy. [emoji106] He has come through for me a few times in urgent situations. He is one of the very few that seems to have that one item for a large tank when you need it ASAP.

I love the emperor, but he is back in jail (quarantine). He became a significant nipper of coral and found monti's and milles' very tastefull. I set up the fish trap and captured him on day two, today. He will be going back to the LFS this week. I like my corals more than my fish, so he does not fit into the scheme of things.

I will follow him vicariously through your thread. [emoji2]

Hey Ward, if you really like Emperors mine will be going back in the DT on December 22 with all the other fish. They have been in QT since October 18 and I am finally confident of them going back to their home. Mine does not nip at corals, thankfully for me...and him.

We really have to get together. Maybe we can get the other Gerry (Rybren) and my buddy Dave and have a little MASO type get together. I really want to see your tank, and mine is finally getting to the point where I want to show it off again. It's been a long hard year on me and the reef.

Hey Gerry. I like emperors, but once bitten, twice shy. lol. I may consider a Majestic in the future.

I would love to host a mini MASO in the new year. I have been thinking about it for a while now. We are all busy at this time of the year, so sometime in late January seems like a good time. Who know's, maybe my bryopsis will be all gone. I am using Vibrant and it is definitely affecting it. However, it is a tough algae and I expect another month may finish it off.

And I love Queen Angels too. Also lucky for me that mine has not nipped at anything since I put her in. My theory is keep them well fed and they don't develop an appetite for coral. I feed once heavily per day and put lots of Nori on clips so that can eat all they want. All my fish are fat and thick, as they are in the ocean.

A meeting in late January sounds great. I will have to keep an eye on this thread however as I did not receive a notification about your post again. I just don't understand why? I got a notification for Rybren's post last night but I never seem to get one when you post. Do you have the "Don't notify percula99 of your posts" button selected in your preferences? :spin2:

I am now a grandpa to Xsaviour James William Angel. He was born this evening and weighs in at 4 lbs 10 oz. He is in very good health and my daughter is as well. This has been a very merry Christmas for all of us.

Oh yeah, the tank is doing good. :)

Got to visit my little guy today. Here is a less revealing photo. [emoji3]
