Amount a month in and I think we're in the clear. She is as happy as she can be. We thought she was dying like forty times but then we realized it must be her normal behavior 1-2x a day to completely deflate and look....dead.

Here's a picture of Rita!

If only our clownies would use it as a home. Then I would be ecstatic. They don't seem to care at all.

Nice looking haddoni. But keep in mind that deflation is NOT normal behavior. Sounds like it may have had an infection or other ailment and it pulled through. I'd expect the frequent deflations to stop soon.

Thanks for the input. Maybe so. It's been 3 weeks now and she hasn't moved. Loves that spot. Keeps deflating about 1x a day but always spits something out which makes me think it's going to the bathroom. But I've been known to be wrong before!

They can contracted especially at night, but not deflated. Can you post a picture of him at his worst, including what ever he spits out?
He definitely should not deflates once a day.
Is is keep on looking better and better, or the same , or worst from day to day? Don't feed him right now, not yet.

I will post a pic next time it does it. Now I'm concerned but it hasn't looked bad at all. Seems to look good and comfortable and has definitely improved.

Next time it deflated I will snap a pic

Like I said in my previous post, I don't think it's anything to worry about. It was mainly to reiterate to others reading that if a haddoni deflates, especially on a regular basis, that they should consider treatment options.

If your haddoni is expelling dead zooxanthellae, which I describe as looking like rat poop (brown pellets, small in size, sometimes granular), and is doing so while deflating, then I'd be concerned.

However, since you're saying it's improved, I think you're out of the woods. Enjoy your new addition!
