Upgrade complete and fish in tank

Back in the beginning of December I had an ich outbreak and had to take all the fish out of the tank to treat them. A hippo tang brought it in and I lost the hippo and my kole tang. The DT has been fishless since then.

I was ready to put the fish back in but then Tom had a great deal on his 90 so rather then move the fish all over the place they stayed in the hospital another week. I got the 90 set up this last weekend and got the fish back in it. :) Now I get to do some fish shopping.

I still have to build a rock structure for the left side. I will also have to make room for the frags from the swap.

Very nice Nick, Man all these new tanks. All sorts of new stuff to watch mature. Keep us updated. :)

Looks like you need to buy some rock. I have some "dead rock" you can buy if you don't already have some.

Thanks for the offer.
I have about 50lbs of rock that has been curing for about 8 weeks or so. It should be ready as soon as I have some time to mess around with it

Yeah, do it right. Acrylic rods, removable pieces, predrilled frag plug holes...
Arches... I am jealous. Ican't easily re-aquascape.

I never thought about pre-drilled frag plug holes that is a great idea. I hate having to cut the bottoms off of the plugs so they sit right.

Live rock generally drills very easily, depending on the rock. And it is a 1/2" hole as I recall. Standard plug drops right in.

Then there are those "square stemmed" frag plugs that often don't fit in standard egg crate frag racks. Grrrr. Off with their stems!

Nick, if you want to add rods to provide structure use fiberglass not acrylic. The acrylic gets brittle over time.

I have a 1/2in masonry bit and hammer drill if you need a few holes.

Thanks for the offer John. I may take you up on that when I finally get around to ping done building

Well I doubt it was the move to another tank but my corals seem to be coloring up a little. They have been super pale since as long as I can remember.

A couple of my sps and my torch really seem to be doing well after the move. The only other thing I did in the move was add a GFO reactor. Maybe that is helping out.

I finally broke down and bought a po4 and nitrate test kit. All I can say is wow telling the difference between 0 and 0.04ppm po4 is extremely difficult. Hopefully things keep improving and coloring up. Ill be keeping my eye in it.

I finally got the tock structure built for the left side of my tank. It didn't work out exactly as I was planning. It ended up taking up more space once it was I. The tank than it seemed to measure out.

The smooth rock on the right side of the structure will become my acan garden.

I'm worried about getting enough flow to the corner behind the new rock structure.

I like it. It contrasts the right with its height. Wish the arm extending right was a tad bit shorter. But who cares, it's what you like. You have to live with it. Happy Friday. 3 dayer.

I see what you're talking about it does make it seem a little off balance. The funny thing is I dropped that piece of rock and broke the tip off and re-glued it.

I went by Jofish on Saturday to look for some new fish. I found a nice powder brown tang I'm gong to go back and pick up in a few days. I did get this guy tho.

ohh!!! blue linkia star... hard to keep alive. I heard they can get infected easily.
Try to acclimate it slowly.

If it starts dying, pull it out quickly before it fouls your tank (fingers crossed)

I gave it a 20 minute temperature acclimation and then a 2 hour drip.
That's what I have read and one of the reasons I have never got one. I gave in to the rest of the family saying how cool it was. My fingers are crossed as well that it will do well over the next few weeks and hopefully live a long time.
