Hey! Thanks !
I don't know a scientific name
My tank is 18 months old and there is an assortment of lps and sps
I don't do any thing special for the torch
Randy- It was a pleasure accidentally running into you yesterday.
Who was that wildman with you? Here's a pic I snapped this morning. Please excuse seeing the kitchen floor through the tank.
The best shot I could get on one frag of blue tip Pocillipora. The body is tan/brown and the polyp tips are bluish teal. The tips have an almost metallic sheen so they look somewhat silver in the picture. Photo was taken under 220W URI 50/50 VHO with 220W URI Actinic.
For the heck of it, here's my pink P. damicornis. Notice that it's polyps appear yellow/green near the bottom, yet blue near the top of my pic.
sschafer, I think your Pocillipora appears to be a green or yellow halo type. Teraphage's is more similar to mine.
{Carl- I'll try to get the shot. Might be a month or two from now before the sun is north far enough, though.}
