UV light longevity

They generally recommend changing the bulb once a year. I have the pentair 45W and it's a beast. I would recommend that brand for sure.

Call LSE Lighting .... If they dont have it nor cant find it, it diesnt exist

Ultralife contacted me after all asking me to send the sterilizer in. We'll see what happens. At this point, my issue is not just getting a new bulb.

Apparently, the unit's failure was my fault. Here is the response from Ultralife. You be the judge.

"hello
we have received the unit back.,
under inspection the technicians have determined this would not be covered by warranty. There is obvious signs of exposure to water inside the unit. They have determined it was the reason for shorting out the bulb. From inspection they say it seems to be from a cracked sleeve.
For repair it would require a new sleeve, bulb, ballast and grommet. We would not charge any labor.
If interested please let me know"

LOL that's laughable at best.

You noted that the bulb burnt out one time before. As it was most likely caused by the same failure, was the unit not inspected the first time?

When I pointed that out, they indicated that it wasn't the same issue the first time.

Seems like BS to me. Pretty much the only way for the bulb to fail like this is by either getting the connection wet, or the ballast wet. If both are dry, both will work.
