UV Light

I need your guys thoughts on this light. My buddy has this for sale and its brand new. He bought it for his pond and plans have changed. Its a sunsun brand 110w UV light. Here are the details of it.

Length: 50.5" Wide: 5" Height: 4.25"
Inlet\outlet Adapter size: 1", 1 1/4, 1-1/2" & 2"
Voltage: 110V / 60Hz 110W ( 2x55watt )
Up to 50,000 Gallon garden POND

TWo three prongs Power Cords and Two Ballasts, 16.5 Feet long each cord

I have a roughly 280-300g tank. Would this be good? I was looking for a 65-80w but this is more than enough. Hes asking 275.00 which is why im asking you guys because the 80w are almost 1k or more.

It's probably okay, but you might want to make sure that it's rated for saltwater use.

I was just thinking since its stainless steel it would work for saltwater. It does however say freshwater in the description.

A lot of stainless steel corrodes badly in saltwater. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, but it might be fine.
