so a week ago i went to a new coral shop, brought home some goodies. one of them being a purple with green polyps valida. at the store it's colors were a super deep purple, and the polyps were neon green. over the last wee in my frag tank 37 cube with a 400 mh 14k over it. when i got it home it was already a brown shade, now a week later after moving it farther and farther down in the tank i've gotten polyps back and it's a blotchy tan. hoping it was too much light but seems odd for an acro. on the other hand i have an aqua delight acro up top 5" down and the 400 is only 12" above the tank(cant go any higher since the ceiling is there, also tank is on top of a dresser closet thing that's pretty tall).

can anyone give me some insight on what's happening here?

water parameters are 480 cal, 10.5 alk, 1400 mag, 0 amonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate and 0 phosphate. :fun5:

also stole this pic from an old thread looks exactily like this, thanks careefer, hope ya dont mind.

Typically lightening means too much light or not enough nutrients. With 0 nitrates or phosphates that could be the issue your seeing if it's a "light" tan.
