heres my dimensions....... the sump either has to be smaller than 10 inches to sit on the floor, or smaller than 11.875 inches to sit on the ledge that runs on the bottom to sit off the floor.... and around 17inches in length so be able to fit around the center divider.
Ok, so you either hunt that thank dimension or, you might need to get it custom made.
so far what i know is that i also need a return pump, skimmer, i want a refugium (sp?), a light for the refugium.... and an overflow, heater.
so from my understanding the refugium- i can divide a section out of the sump with a shorter wall so that water spills into the refugium and then after goes to the return pump where it is pushed back to the tank ?
Yes, you are correct. Most people have the sump sectioned by Drain, Refugium, and Return.
if i dont have enough to buy a skimmer at this point or cant pick one up for a cheap bargain can i run without one for a while until i find a good steal somewhere ?
Yes, you can. As a matter of fact, while you're tank is cycling, you don't need to have skimmer.
and then theres pvc......... and thats about it besides getting my tank drilled ?
oh powerheads ! :crazy1:
You might need to go over the list that you might need.:lmao:
ive seen tanks with (i dont know proper terminology here) "arms" coming over the tank with powerheads coming down from the top, but then kayla was talking about something last week trying to remember... something about drilling three holes and having it fork or something from the side ? i totally could have paraphrased that completely wrong.
Get Kayla over here, what is she talking about??? :lmao:
