I m using 500ml of vertex bp in a Vertex Media Reactor UF20, the pump i m using is rated 600 gal per hr and I had it dial down a bit. 3 Days of cloudiness because of the bacteria bloom. After the water cleared, I found all my milli are doing poorly and I lost 3 corals. So far, I have not seen too much change on the cyano situation. Nitrate stays the same.
At least I am telling myself the water look clear as ever.

Anyone use a TLF phosban reactor to run these pellets? If so, did you use the stock filter pads, or should I add some sort of mesh barrier instead?
I used a mesh screen for mine. Pads will get clogged.
Neither ozone nor UV will affect the bacteria directly. Ozone will break down some organics, which could be a positive or a negative, depending on what's in the water, but I wouldn't expect a huge difference, in general, although that's possible.Does OZONE affect the pellet effectiveness? (I know they said UV might slow down the biopellet maturity time)
... I plumbed my reactor output to the UV Sterilizer. Small attempt to keep bacteria from entering the sump.
cheers,
Marian
my tank has now been cloudy for 3 days...
how much longer until it clears ?
should i be nervous at this point?
I would also like to know what you used as a screen in the TLF reactor?
