Vertex Pump Problem

Hi,

This morning I noticed a kind of grinding or heavy vibration sound coming from my tank. I turned pumps on and off until I found what was making the noise. It was the pump on my IN-250 Rev A skimmer.

I remove the pump, took it apart and cleaned everything with a diluted vinegar solution. Put it back in and th vibration is still there.

Any idea what the problem is? I have already had he impeller replaced once. What can I do to fix it?

Hi John,

When was the impeller replaced? It's a possibility that the replacement shaft you received was just a polished down version of the same one. We just got in new shafts that are a completely different diameter altogether that will fix the issue. Shoot me an email to jeremy@premiumaquatics.com.
