Have you cleaned out the venturi where the air line hooks up to the pump? A lot of times noise is created from the unit by having the venturi slightly restricted (plugged) with calcium carbonate.

Thanks for the reply Jermey, i'll check it tonight and see if there is any build up- Now that you mentioned it, the same build up would happen on my old simmer. Thanks for the advice, you guys are the best!
