hi everyone...im pretty new to saltwater and reef tanks but ive got a 20g with a few live rock and 3 domino damsels...im not doing much with it so i can feel me way through this learning experience...but today i got a green BTA about 1" wide and its settled in very nicely on one of my live rocks that also has some mushroom and button polyps on it...anyway..is there anything special as far as caring for very young anemone? i.e. feeding, temp, etc. ...thanks!..btw this site is VERY informative

Hi, definitely post your lighting (what kind, how many watts, etc), and how long your tank has been set up for ... oh, and don't forget to cover powerhead intakes b/c even though you think they'll be fine, they most likely WILL wander first few days of getting settled.

Also, along with what Jamie has said, don't be surprised if it kills some mushrooms or polyps it comes into contact with.

1" BTAs are frequently not BTAs at all, but A. majano, might be a good idea to post a picture when you can.

as far as lighting im using 2 regular flourescent lights, like one you would see in a shop hangin or something...i know they arent the right ones but its all i have right now...tanks been set up for about 1 month now

I don't want to be rude, but please resist the urge to buy any more photosynthetic creatures (corals, clams, anemones) until you can get appropriate lighting. It really is important to their survival.

Welcome. Yeah if you want to keep the BTA (if that is what it is)healthy you are going to have to upgrade the lighting to probably a 150 W halide a "sunpod" or maybe T5s depending on the style. As stated earlier these creatures are photosynthetic and need lots of light. When first starting its important to look things up before you have them in your tank, we all have made similar errors in the past, good luck.
