very stubborn cases of ich

If its flukes or worms, you can try PraziPro. You can also try Revive by FishVet. They state on their web site, "Revive eliminates the free swimming stage of many parasites, as well as gill flukes and many gram negative bacteria (such as bacterial fin rot). Revive does not harm fish, invertebrates, plants or nitrifying bacteria and no test kit is needed during treatment. The combination of several active ingredients, make this a safe, yet extremely effective aquarium treatment."

The dosage is 10 mg/gal for 10 days. I use it in conjunction with copper for ich but for flukes you should only need the quinicrine.
The treatment lasts for 10 days and you need to dim the lights as this drug is degraded by light. After that time, you can filter the water through carbon and there is no need to change the water.
It will turn the water flourescent yellow which will fade.

i once had a pink tail trigger that had what i believe were crab pits, looked similiar to the appearance of ick but only larger. from what i remember the only possible cure was repeated formalin baths.

i've got an old thread on here about it..perhaps you can find it..

update : the tang died a day or 2 after a freshwater dip with formalin and acriflavin...
mysterious?
I am still gonna try to get the quinicrine hydrochloride mentioned by paul B above....I remember reading about that stuff in the 70's...in a Book by a guy named Robert Clifton on marine fish diseases...
