Ok be kind, this is kinda my first video so...
I know it's not edited very well, and the audio is bad, and I really needed a teleprompter so I don't stutter as much but hey..

Like I said it's my first video..

I'm using the bits I just got off ebay to drill a 20G tank.

Specs for this video:
35 MM holesaw from Hong Kong
Water (From my hose :) )
20G tank from Edwin like 6 months ago
Makita 18V Lithium Ion on fastest gear (3) and only using 1/4 to 1/2 trigger speed on the drill
Under 60 secs drill time

The edges are very smooth with no chips
it's a much better job than I do when I use a dremel free hand.

LMK what you think.

Go Steve! You going to start a tank drilling business to go with your other 8 or so business adventures?

funman1? wildman1!

All freehand and whatnot, just slammin' the bit on the glass... all cockeyed'n'stuff! No landing pad for Steve! No! Bold! Go Steve! RC and MARS needs more youtube!

Nope not starting a business with this one.. Like Kevin said I already have too many jobs..
Just thought it'd be fun to do a DIY video.
;)

Just throw me some frags and hey I'm on the job..

Hoh PS: if you guys want to come check out the insane runners for the Western States Run this weekend, it's quite impressive.

They run from Squaw Valley to Placer High School in Auburn (100 miles non stop)
I'm working the Red Star Ridge Check point, and the Finish line (Placer High School) Sat night and Sunday morning cooking breakfast for spectators and runners.
:)

Good job Steve!!! I always think the diamond bit works much better than using the dremel with the tile bit.

I got to see the drilled tank first hand, and it's a clean hole, especially considering that it was the first attempt with one of those bits. clean and fast, you can't ask for more.

I'm thinking that those bits will get a lot of use now that one of them has been broken in...

Jon (shiveley) stoped by while I was editing the video on the computer, and got a sneak preview of the video and see the finished tank.
:)
Hoh yeah, we have BIG fireworks coming up on the 4th for the city on Lincoln and then next weekend (not this one) we have a big show down in the bay area..
I'm already starting to get giddy!!!
I'll post pics after that happens too.

I go to placer high every year and watch them come in!!!

Last year was crazy. Scott in my opinion just pushed that guy beyond what he could do and to fall that close to the finish, man!!

Yeah that sucked to see that first place guy get disqualified. He was so far ahead he could have sat down on the track for 15 mins rested and then gotten up to finish, and still been in first place.
The heat last year was insane too, we had like 20-30 runners disqualified at Red Star Ridge which is the first check point of the race!!
I think with the predicted temps on Sat to be 84, we might have some new records set this year.

Stop by the food both and say hi this year, I "might" be able to hook ya up with some free grub in the morning too :)

Yeah i usally dont go there until later in the night!

I personally dont think Jureks fastest time will be broken. It was just insane!
COURSE RECORD:
2004 Scott Jurek 15:36:27

I just never see this getting broken. I know records are there to be broken but this one i cant see kinda like the dimaggio 56 game hiting streak.

Every year i see Dean Karnazes come in i'm amazed i dont know why, i shouldn't be anymore but for the people that have never seen him he is a pretty built guy not super skinny like most of these runners.
he is always in the top 10 every year and when he comes in it looks like he might have ran a nice easy 5 mile race not 100 miles.

Good stuff!
