Wow !!!!! turn it down!!!! LOL the MP10 dose a great undertoe currant in my tank in short puls mode.

I was thinking of trying to use one to create a small (1"or less) wave in my 90g standard. Would you be willing to see if it will generate a small wave or if I should step up to the mp20? I would appreciate it, I don't know of anyone else that has an MP10 on a 90.

I just put 2 on my 90 and I have to say it's pretty nice but your not gonna get a wave that's very strong. I've had 3 MJMODS in my tank on a chauvet for quite awhile and the MP10 has much better flow and the MJMod is supposed to be 1600gph. These things are fantastic but I still need to keep an extra Mod in there because 2 mp10's is not enough for me. So on the right side of my tank I have a mp10 and a Mod mostly because my more sensitive SPS gets the flow. And it's varied flow but much stronger than just the mp10. If you keep alot of SPS and want just vortechs in your tank than I would suggest at least one MP40, if your keeping LPS and softies than 2 mp10's will be fine. The mp20 is not much stronger than the mp10, only by 500gph. The mp40 on the other hand gets up tp 3000gph.

i just put 2 mp40s in my 105 gallon and love it. had a lil glitch with them communicating but as always john pulled thru and helped me get them working

wow i got a MP-40 on order for my 120, i cant wait for it to get here but now it looks like im going to be out of town for the week and wont be able to play with it.

I wish I had the Cash for 2 MP40s !!!!!!!!

thats what i was thinking. lol

im going to get the first one hooked up and see how the tank handles it, then if i need to i will get one more.

i dont think i will need to in a mostly LPS tank but we will see

I have an mp10 on my 20 long it makes a sick wave. I also have a MP40W I ran on my 75 gallon and the thing was a beast. Just sent it back to Ecotech to get it refurbished before the warranty runs out. Soon as it comes back putting it up for sale rather than let it sit on a shelf..

for got to post but i got my MP-40 up and work the 120, i can tell its a major improvement over what i had, i cant get much of a wave out of it(might just be me) think im going to save up and get one for the other side of the tank.

oh and did i say i love it, cant really hear a thing from it unless your standing real close!!

deartek, where do you have the MP-10 in the tank? I have an MP-40w on a 90g and only get flow\undertow on the main (front part) of the tank. Behind my rocks its DEAD! Its on reefcrest mode cranked all the way up. I wonder if I had an MP10 near the bottom behind my rocks if it would stir up my sand back there and keep it cleaner.
