While I'm also not a fan of feeding anemones while they're adjusting to their new surroundings, it's tough to argue with what worked.

One thing I would suggest, to anyone considering feeding a "sick" anemone, is that they first put a very small piece of food somewhere on the anemone's oral disc, and then wait for several minutes (up to 10 or so) for a feeding response before squirting a small amount of food into its mouth. The feeding response, if the anemone has one, will cause the internal membranes to swell, which in turn can force food that was put into the mouth too early to be expelled.
