Heres the MH installed.

Thanks Chalowolf(Gonzalo) Ballast and reflectors and frags, Thanks ScallopKing(Sean) for the hook up on the MH bulbs.

Dual 175w 14k Hamilton at 30 minutes burn time, burn estimate time is at 100hrs.

Im really happy with the look. Now I can see every little corner in my tank. No dark spots, and Im digging the shimmer lines. My pics for some reason come out way clearer too!!!

ENJOY!

:smokin:
This one came out nice, starphire front panel.

You may have heard this already, but I recommend lowering your rocks. I built a pvc structure and my highest rocks are about 3" from the waters surface. Tiny sps frags that I mounted up there grew to the water line much quicker than I thought they would. Also, people have to really stoop to see the corals on those rocks.

You could end up finding that those highest rocks are useless when it comes to mounting corals on them. Plus, some fish like open water above the rocks. Just my thoughts based on my experience.

As for covering the pipe, you might also want to consider attaching rubble rock with zip ties.

Good luck!

Hey, yea I lowered the rock already I have around 6 inches clearance, my tangs and Flame angel love to swim above.

thanks for the heads up.

Sam

My fish list as of 6/12

1 baby blue tang
1 baby yellow tang

1 flame angel
1 six line wrasse.

Still to come:
1 long nose hawk fish
1 spotted mandarin
????????<---

And the my anemones, followed by the SPS.

Sam

don't think you'll be ready for a mandarin for a few more months ;)

if you find out how to do it sooner, let me know.

Hey Sam, I see that the Angel is doing good :) I hope he's behaving. My tank seems kinda bare without him and my wrasse who jumped but everyone seems a lot more relaxed so it worked out for all aprties. My Flame Hawk and Blenny who used to hate each other are actually hanging out now. LOL

Haha nice Migs. That flame angel eats like a pig. Thanks:D

Omeg, I did find a way to get the mandarin quicker.

I found a website where they sell harvested pods and such in a 12 oz bottle. Ill be adding a couple of those to my fuge and to the main display;).
