So my visits here haven't even so much as amounted to lurking for a while now, but I know a bunch of you very well and wanted to share for any not on "the book of faces". lol

Warning: There's a "few" pics to this post. :D

Introducing our little St. Patrick's Day / Full Moon baby, Dominic Michael Rivera <3
(Dad is already planning to be his designated driver on his 21st birthday... ;) )

Born 7:37pm on 3/17/14 at 6lbs, 2oz and 19". He made sure his entrance into the world was a long, painful, drawn out drama (shame on me for not getting the meds quick enough) but he is soooo worth it. And I can promise, I am NEVER doing that again. lol He is already showing some spunk for a newborn and shocked his doc by rolling from his belly to his back at his 4/3 appt. I hear that means he's going to be a climber... (bracing self)

Ok, pictures!

Hospital photographer pics at 1 day old:

And co-worker/prof. photog pics at 9 days old:

Thanks for letting me show him off! Hope everyones' doing excellent!

Way to go guys! Congrats! It's really the best! Count me in for St Paddys 2035! (I mean, since there's a driver and all...)

I'd ask you to promise not to be a bad influence on him... but something tells me you guys would have him swear a "Tell mom we went to dinner and then had one drink" oath. lol

Oh... and if you haven't already done the math to figure out how old you'll be in 2035... don't. Just don't. Ugh... :uzi:

Congrats.
Nice frag.

Thanks Mark

Sweet frag, Mel!

Thank u Scott :)

Aww, not long to go then and the naming fun begins. We changed our minds a few times and my dad doesn't like the one we picked, but it's not up to anyone but you two. :)

If any of you fell reefers with a new frag in the area looking for a pediatrician, we are lucky enough to have both an excellent reefer and part of U.R.S. for many years and one of the best pediatrician in our area, Dr. Klier.
I met him here first and when my first human frag arrived, Dr. Klier has been giving the all advise and care one could ask for.
Nothing like going in for a check up and hearing the rodi booster pump humming thew the office...

Yay Mel!!! :bounce3: :celeb1:

Congratulations and he's beautiful! Those pictures are all wonderful; I especially love his face in the one with the hat! I love new babies :D

I had a friend who told me that each day feels like three months (especially at 3:00am!) and the first three months feels like it goes by in a day. So true.

Good job, momma!

Oh, and I really like his name.

Congrats Mel! It is the best thing ever possible to have a baby! My wife and I welcomed our first son Connor James Howland on 1/4/14 and I have to say that I have never loved anything this much, I think about him all day and cant wait to get home and see him smile when he hears my voice. Very happy for you both!

Congrats! I'd start with pe mysis or Cyclops ez. Eventually you might be able to go up to chopped clams. They don't need much light and little flow.
