Waratah Anemone

I am looking at buying one, The question is do they need bright lighting. One place says they are non-photosynthestic, and don't require bright light,and another says requires bright lights like other anemones.It will go in a 12 gallon nano dx . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe they're nonphotosynthetic. I had two in an unlit tank for weeks and they never lost color. In fact, one of them spit out three babies. Just make sure to feed them a lot.

Did you have water temp around 78 to 80 degrees,It will be in a 5.5 with 24 watts t5s. How long did you have them.

anemone thanks for the threads, I am not so worried about it needing cooler temps and bright lights. Thanks again

forgot to mention that these are aqua-cultured anemones.He said they are hardy.
